As I do business with a company, any company, I pledge to find out about their bonus system. If a bank I deal with earns money from me then pays obscene bonuses, while dynamiting the foundation of America’s economy, I consider that company and its officers criminals - greedy thugs. “Merrill Lynch’s former chief executive, John A. Thain, has come under scrutiny for Merrill’s decision to pay $4 billion to $5 billion in bonuses in 2008” This man should be in criminal court and sued in civil court. In a sense it’s worse than theft, because it has affected so many people so negatively.
